From the recording Experience Not Money

Well, I was staying in Amsterdam after running my first marathon and my friends had left me alone in their apartment while they went on a scuba diving vacation. The first thing I did was ask someone I knew who was living there to take me to a hash bar to get a bit of mind altering inspiration. Then, for the next week I proceeded to play my guitar loudly most of the day. I was worried that the neighbors would be upset but ran into a couple who said they enjoyed it..love Amsterdam!
This song came out of that jaunt. It's how I felt at the time-it's sort of a play on "Love not Money" but at the time I was feeling particularly free...I really love the jam at the end. When I listen to it now, the end has a "Cream" feeling to it...so fun to play live!

Lyrics

Experience Not Money by Leslie Nuss

I want experience not money
Give me experience not money

I want to know how the world looks in your eyes
I want to be the one to tell you it’s alright
When something has got you down
I want experience not money
Give me experience not money

I want experience not money
Give me experience not money

I want to know how it feels to wake up next to you
I want to breathe in the air you breathe
Flow right into you
I want experience not money
Give me experience not money

And I found out
I get what I want
And I found out
I am free

Hey
