This 2025/2026 release combines singles that Nuss recorded after Sh*t Happens with five new tracks, teaming up again with Ainjel Emme. Increasingly aware of the need for songs that spark inspiration and courage, the title track takes a clear-eyed look at where we, the people, are. There’s the timely “Ticket to Mars,” “Find Your Voice,” and “Every Mother Matters,” as well as the more electronic vibes of “Rainbow and “Birds.” This is Nuss’s first release on vinyl!

Continuing the project she started with Ainjel Emme, Nuss completed these 8 songs begun with producers Danny Giorgi, Kyle Paas, Joshua Shapera, and released them in 2020, during the pandemic. The work starts with the optimistic “Swing for the Stars” before launching into several songs about grappling with grief and loss, before closing with a call to live every moment in “Bell Tolls.” Notable track “Someday” was recorded with Pat Sansone of WILCO in his Nashville Studio. “When I Wake” seems ever-relevant for people struggling with the current state of affairs.
Review: While Leslie Nuss is an artist unfamiliar to us, we are quite familiar with her producer, the amazing Ainjel Emme, who was previously a part of the bands Goddess Freak Ensemble and Tits and Giggles, as well as a dynamic DIY solo performer before creating the Block of Joy, a multimedia house providing content creation and artistic development of upcoming talent in music and film. Emme has definitely outdone herself on this project, shining the spotlight on the amazing voice and talent of Nuss. All four songs are outstanding and worthy of industry attention. Nuss is truly an artist on the cusp of greatness, and we can’t wait to hear what she delivers in parts 2 and 3 of this project.
Recommendation: By all means, jump on this train and get this EP. You’ll be glad you did. –LA Music Critic
The fourth CD features a cover (approved of by Jim Peterik) of Eye of the Tiger, fan favorite "Zen Meditation," and now her daughter's favorite, "The Mermaid Song." This is the first CD Leslie has produced, working with Mark Berlin at Gravity Studios in Chicago ... and featuring Material Issue's Mike Zelenko on drums, along with Dan Wean and Mark on guitar, Ann-Marie Stehn on bass, Christian Cullen on keys, and Rahul Sharma on sitar.
The third CD from the Chicago-based singer- songwriter/internationally recognized fashion designer of the same name, LESLIE NUSS delivers 60’s rock infused guitar pop featuring lyrics characterized by intense emotional honesty and razor-sharp wit. Recorded in New York City with members of the hitmaking pop-punk band Lola Ray (Epic Records).
Nuss's second full-length CD features soaring melodies and great songs. Produced by Kyle Kelso and featuring an array of NYC musicians, including Vinnie Zummo (Joe Jackson), Jon Skibic (Gigolo Aunts, Afghan Whigs), and Pemberton Roche, her most ambitious album has multiple layers and sonic projections. Songs like "Time Capsule" featured on the NBC shows "All About Us," Dawson's Creek, and Party of Five. (Coincidentally, actress Michelle Williams modeled one of Nuss's hair accessories on the cover of YM magazine)
Leslie Nuss's first CD, recorded in Champaign, Illinois, was produced by Adam Schmitt with introspective lyrics and great melodies. Particular favorites are "Wedding Ring" and "Ignore You."
